MDI Talent Show
One of the most anticipated events during Music Week is the MDI Talent Show, a definite crowd pleaser each year guaranteeing a full house. This night gives students a chance to showcase their talents (no matter how weird or wonderful) with the extra incentive of winning a very generous and much sought after cash prize!
MDI has seen many students showcasing original material, singing with a group or newly formed band, performing poetry recitals, dramatic monologues, dance routines, comedic stand-up performances, look-alike acts, magic routines and the odd lecturer showcasing their hidden talents too!
This night generally brings a very special half time act. For the last two years the All Ireland and World Championship Hip Hop Crews have entertained the audience while the judges deliberate. The
night is guaranteed to be an exhilarating experience unlikely to be found in any other college.
