Teacher Education (Level 8) - Bachelor of Religious Education

  • MD201: Education, Religion and English - second level teaching
  • MD301: Education, Religion and History - second level teaching
  • MD401: Education, Religion and Music (Restricted) - second level teaching

Bachelor of Arts 

  • MD500: Arts - Irish Studies and Religious Studies

Requirements

Leaving Certificate or equivalent with a minimum of two recognised subjects at higher level grade HC3 and four at ordinary or higher level grade D3. These six subjects must include:

  • 1. Maths and
  • 2. English or Irish

Applicants for MD401 will normally have obtained a minimum of Grade C3 in Leaving Certificate Higher Level Music, or other school leaving Music examination. A good standard of instrumental competence is desirable. However, these requirements may be waived in individual cases, at the discretion of the Head of Music. All MD401 applicants will be required to sit a Music Aural Test and Performance.

Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme (LCVP)
Applications are accepted from students with the LCVP qualification. Points will be awarded as follows:

The Link modules do not qualify as a subject for matriculation purposes.
