"Who needs systematic theology?"

 

 

Anna Williams was trained in theology at Yale University. Her first book, The Ground of Union: Deification in Aquinas and Palamas (OUP 1999), was a revision of the dissertation she wrote under the supervision of the noted ecumenist, George Lindbeck.
She has taught at Yale Divinity School and now teaches at the University of Cambridge. Her most recent book is The Divine Sense: the Intellect in Patristic Theology (CUP 2007). She is currently working on a study of the systematic nature of theology, which will be published by Oxford.
